The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has finally suspended its industrial action. The strike lasted for 8 month.
A member of the union’s National Executive Committee, however, told Channels TV early Friday that the strike was suspended conditionally.
AFRIPOST gathered that the union decided to suspend the strike after a meeting of its leadership that lasted till the early hours of Friday.
The meeting was called by the union to take a decision after its state branches met to look at the Court of Appeal ruling which asked it to return to class.
The court had earlier told ASUU that its appeal can only be heard after they return to class.
National Executive Committee members and other stakeholders attended the meeting.
