Must read

Labour Party presidential candidate and the face of the Obi-dients movement, Peter Obi, has reacted to Saturday’s rallies organised by his supporters, across Nigeria to mark the 62nd Independence anniversary.

Recall that the Obidients supporters had stormed major cities in Lagos, Kaduna, Bauchi, Edo and others, including London.

Overwhelmed by the support, on Sunday morning, Obi said October 1, 2022, would go down in history “as a day Nigerians spoke with one united voice,” stating that nothing is stopping his victory come 2023.

He maintained that the message was obvious that “a new nigeria is possible!”

He said, “From Lagos, Bauchi, Benin City, Warri, Osogbo, Kaduna, Uyo, Aba, London, New York and many more, OBIdients made a bold statement with generally very peaceful rallies.”

The Labour Party candidate said Nigerians of all groups and gender came in their numbers to show solidarity and to support “our collective vision of a New Nigeria.”

He further appreciated the Nigerian youths for their “passion, resolve and resiliency,” stressing that they have shown the entire world that Nigeria is ready for a change, and the majority are ready to lead the way.”

He said that at this point, his supporters have shown determination and nothing is stopping them, “Our labours shall never be in vain and there is no stopping us now.”
