Ganduje congratulates VON’s new Head of Hausa service

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has congratulated Mr Tukur Arab, a correspondent of VON, over his new appointment as Head of Hausa Service of the Voice of Nigeria (VON).

This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abba Anwar on Friday in Kano.

Ganduje described Arab, who is an indigene of Kano, as a professional who believed in ethical practice and commitment to duty.

“Tukur Garba Arab’s appointment as the Head of Hausa Service of the Voice of Nigeria (VON) is not only a reward of hard work to him alone, but a good omen for the state and other professional colleagues,” he said.

The governor urged Arab to continue with the good work, adding that his elevation to the present position was an attestation to his dedication, good work and compliance with global best practices.

Ganduje enjoined other professional colleagues of Arab to emulate him and work hard to attain ethical standard in their professional and assigned responsibilities.

Recalls  that Arab, until his appointment was the correspondent of VON and Vice Chairman of the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Kano. (NAN)
