2023: Court nullifies APC primary, orders candidate to step down

The candidature of Emmanuel Bwacha for the All Progressives Congress governorship election in Taraba State has been nullified by the Federal High Court sitting in Jalingo.

The nullification happened on Tuesday.

David Kente, an aggrieved aspirant, had dragged the party and its candidate to court over the recognition of Bwacha as the candidate of the party.

While ruling on the matter, the presiding Judge, Justice Simon Amobeda, ordered a fresh primary election within 14 days.

The court also directed Bwacha to stop parading himself as the governorship candidate of the APC.
