Just in: Lagos govt extends ban on Okada to more council areas

The Lagos State government has banned Okada in four more Local Government Areas and five Local Council Development Areas.

Afripost recalls that in June, the government banned Okada in Apapa, Ikeja, among other local governments.

The affected councils in the latest ban include:

1. Kosofe Local Government
   a. Ikosi-Isheri LCDA
   b. Agboyi-Ketu LCDA

2. Oshodi-Isolo Local Government
   a. Isolo LCDA

3. Shomolu Local Government
   a. Bariga LCDA.

4. Mushin Local Government
   a. Odi-Olowo LCDA

The ban becomes effective on September 1st, 2022.

Recall that the federal government has announced that it is considering banning Okada nationwide.
