Mutfwang assures security agencies of better welfare, as Bagos commission’s police station in Plateau community

The gubernatorial candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has commended security agencies in the state for doing their best despite the circumstances they found themselves in; assuring them that if the PDP gets back to power come 2023, they will be well taken care of.

He equally said security personnel are friends of the citizenry, it is only those who do wrong that are afraid of them.

Mutfwang disclosed this while commissioning a Police Station and Borehole built by the member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Bassa, in Hwolshe community of Jos South LGA of the State.

He said, “What Hon. Bagos has done here shows that he thinks well of this community and wants this community to thrive.

“To the people of Hwolshe, these projects are a thrust, and I hope you will hold on to it”, he maintained.

According to him, “Good water is not only to quench thirst, but it eliminates disease, and for us, this is a crucial project.

“The building of this Police Station shows our concern for peace and security.

Mutfwang commended security agencies in the state for doing their best despite the circumstances they found themselves.

“And I will like to assure you that, when PDP gets back to power, the security agencies will be well taken care of”, he assured.

“Therefore, we want to receive this Police Station with joy, because it is only those who do wrong that is afraid of the police; the police are friends of the citizenry.

“And we assure you that this police station will continue to serve the interest of the community”, he reassured.

Also speaking, Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Bartholomew Onyeka, represented by Area Commander Bukuru, ACP Ejike Chiabutor, thanked the lawmaker for building the police station, assuring him that the property would be put into proper use.

“I want to appeal to members of this community to partner with the police in its efforts to rid the area of crime and criminality”, he stressed.

In his earlier remarks, Hon. Bagos said, “We are doing all this to support the police so that they lead securing us.

“In supporting the police today, we wish to have given them a vehicle to assist them, but we are starting with a motorcycle”, he maintained.

On the borehole commissioned, Bagos said, “With the borehole, we are also commissioning; we don’t want our children to trek long distances to fetch water.

“To the traditional council and development associations, I want to charge you, especially on the borehole; we have made it in a way that it will be difficult for it to spoil, but it will need maintenance, and I want to task you with that responsibility”, he stressed.

There were goodwill messages from the traditional council and youth leader of the community among others.
