Must read

Former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko has urged River State Governor, Nyesom Wike not to let Nigerians down in an effort to rescue Nigeria from the hands of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Mimiko who was in Port Harcourt for the flag-off of the dualization of Azikiwe – Iloabuchi road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, said Wike’s supporters and the PDP were waiting to read his lips ahead of the 2023 election.

Commending Wike for sacrificing everything for the PDP and for becoming a one-man squad against the APC, Mimiko advised the governor not to let his supporters down by ignoring their call to take the country back at this trying time of insecurity and collapsed economy.

He said: “You were at one time a one-man squad, defending our dear party, the PDP. You have said it and I’m sure you will remain committed to the struggle to entrench a true federal system that will engender real development across all ethnic nationalities and across all religious divides in this country..

“All well-meaning Nigerians know that we really need to unite as a nation to be able to effectively confront our security and economic challenges.

“You have undoubtedly done so well for the PDP and I can assure you that the members and the leadership of the party know your worth.”

He commended Wike for serving the people selflessly and by redeeming the promises he made to them upon assumption of office.

Earlier, Wike had asked the people to name what else he should do for them as he had fulfilled all the promises he made to them.

He said: I have fulfilled all the promises I made to you. Now tell me, what else do you want me to do for you?”
