The Nigeria security and civil defence corps (NSCDC) has informed the FCT residents of a renewed threat of attack by the Islamic State West Africa province (ISWAP).
The corps stated that members of the decimated terrorist organisation (ISWAP) had made it clear of their intention to launch attack on selected locations within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), particularly, Christians in the country.
The statement was issued over the weekend in a letter by The FCT Command, Nigeria security and civil defence corps, addressed to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Capital Territory Administration which revealed the intelligence information, cautioning about the threat of fresh attack on the citizens.
It revealed that ISWAP terrorist had earlier been fingered on the recent KUJE Jailbreak of Tuesday 5thJuly, 2022 where many of their members were released unlawfully to enable them reassemble and re-strategise for further heinous activities against the members of the public.
