Buhari’s aide, Ahmad confesses to Peter Obi’s supporters, predicts Labour party’s votes from Kano, Katsina

Must read

Bashir Ahmad, a social media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has made a cryptic post about the Peter Obi’s movement in the north.

Apparently dismissing the presence of the movement in the far north, Ahmad in what appears like sarcasm said Peter Obi’s movement has gained more popularity in Kano and Katsina as no one is talking about the other political parties.

According to the Buhari Digital and New Media Personal Assistant, the Labour party may win 70 – 80 percent of votes in states like Kano and Katsina.

In a tweet on Thursday, Bashir wrote: “Let me confess, the name Peter Obi alone is a movement to beat, I was in Kano over the weekend and to my surprise everywhere is PO, nobody is talking about other candidates anymore and a friend told me that it’s a similar story in Katsina. LP is getting 75% – 80% in those States,” he tweeted.

AFRIPOST observes that most of Bashir’s followers on Twitter understand that the post is mere sarcasm and to further lampoon the Obi movement.

Kano state is the stronghold of both the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.

Meanwhile, Katsina State is the home state of the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari.

It’s yet to be seen how Labour Party, can penetrate northern states.

A victory in Kano and Katsina states gives a contestant an advantage to sail to victory.
