A Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity (Office of the Vice President), Laolu Akande has refuted report flying around on Social Media that his Principal, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo along Airport Road on Monday.
Akande, while reacting on telephone with AFRIPOST, said Osinbajo only lend a helping hand to an accident victim on his way to the Airport as he was on a trip to the scene of the Sunday unfortunate Church attacks in Owo, Ondo State.
He noted that the Vice President’s convoy was never involved in any accident on his way to the Airport.
He said, “On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, and ensured victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance.
“He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday’s attack in Owo”.
