There was pandemonium at Aho-Ogbor market in Owukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State when gunmen suspected to be kidnappers stormed the market in an attempt to take away people for ransom.
AFRIPOST gathered that during the attack, a man identified simply as Papay was shot in the stomach and has since been rushed to the hospital.
Owukpa community does not have a single healthcare centre that can carry out such an emergency service. The only available option is to rush the victim to a nearby community.
Report claims that one person was taken away by the kidnappers, though his identity has remained unknown at the moment.
This development is seriously causing panic in the community even as members of the community have requested mobilization of security operatives to the area.
