Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, on Tuesday granted bail to former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, but with stringent bail conditions.
Okorocha is standing trial for alleged N2.9 billion corruption charges.
Justice Ekwo admitted him to bail in the sum of N500 million with a surety in the same amount.
While on bail, Okorocha is not expected to travel out of the country except with the court’s express permission.
The judge ordered the Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly to deposit his traveling passport and other necessary documents.Â
