My abductors collected N100m from me without govt’s assistance – Methodist Prelate

His Eminence, Samuel Uche, the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria who was abducted by gunmen on Tuesday has disclosed that his abductors collected N100 million ass ransom for his release.

While addressing a press conference in Lagos, Uche said the monies were arranged in five sacks of N20 million.

He said the funds were raised by the Methodist church in Nigeria, as the government and the security agencies were not involved.

The cleric and two others were kidnapped on Sunday in Abia State but got their freedom on Monday.
