Businessman and politician, Tonye Cole, has been declared winner of the Rivers State’s All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primaries.
Cole, the preferred candidate of the former Minister of Transportation and leader of the APC in Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi defeated other five aspirants with 986 votes.
Ojukaye Flag Amachree, a former state chairman of the APC, came a far second with 190 votes, while Sokonte Davies came 3rd with 46 votes.
Senator Magnus Abe did not take part in the primaries, but scored 1 vote.
