The Senator representing Niger North Senatorial District, and Deputy Chief Whip, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi has said that the setting up of the Federal University of Education Kontagora, Niger State in his Constituency is the most greatest achievement of his over seven years stay at the red chamber.
He explained that knowing that the zone is most educationally disadvantaged in the state, informed his commitment and resolve in making sure it came to fruition.
Speaking with Zone C delegates of All Progressives Congress, APC, from Agwara, Rijau and Magama local government areas ahead of the party primary, Sabi said apart from bridging the educational gap between the zone and other zones in the state, it will reduce the unemployment level in his constituency.
According to him, “though I have achieved a lot in the area of the provision of constituency projects across the eight local government areas and the 84 wards in my Constituency, the establishment of the University remains my greatest achievement”.
Also, on purported intimidation and threat to delegates ahead of the party primaries, the lawmaker stated, “I can not be intimated or feel threatened by their agents”.
He urged the delegates to remain focus and resist any form of harassment, saying, You must not elect someone that you can not see, let us all say no to a diaspora senator for our zone”.
Afterwards, various speakers from the various LGs who spoke unanimously reiterated their resolve to unite and return the senator for the third term in the senate.
According to them,” Senator Sabi has provided a quality representation at the red chamber for the over seven years we elected him and therefore ask him to continue to serve us”.
