Family announces burial date of Kwara ace broadcaster, Oyeyemi Ademokoya

The remains of the late Kwara ace broadcaster and veteran journalist, Chief (Mrs) Falilat Oyeyemi Ademokoya-Agboola, would be laid to rest on May 27, 2022 in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

A statement issued on behalf of the deceased family in Ilorin on Monday by prominent business mogul, Chief (Mrs) Jumoke Harb, announced the burial date.

The statement said the release of the funeral details for Mrs Ademokoya-Agboola was sequel to the resolution of a series of meetings at the instance of stakeholders.

It said service of song, wake keep and Artistes Evening have been fixed for Thursday, 26th May, 2022 at 2 pm at Gold Hall of the Prestigious Atlantic Event Palace, Budo Giwa, Ajase Ipo Road, Offa Garage Area of llorin.

The statement informed that the burial service of the ace broadcaster holds at Christ Apostolic Church, Goshen Land, llorin on Friday, 27th May, 2022 at 10am while a private burial takes place at her residence in Araromi, Gaa Akanbi Area of Ilorin immediately after the service.

It said entertainment of guests would hold at Gold Hall of the Prestigious Atlantic Event Palace, Budo Giwa, Ajase Ipo Road, Offa Garage Area of Ilorin shortly after the burial.

It would be recalled that Chief (Mrs) Falilat Oyeyemi Ademokoya-Agboola, who was the treasurer of the Kwara State chapter of the National League of Veteran Journalists (NALVEJ), died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital on May 7, 2022 following a brief illness at the age of 67.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and siblings.
