APC intervenes, moves to stop Tinubu’s campaign DG, Jibrin from dumping party

The Ahmad Bola Tunubu’s Presidential Campaigns Director, Abdulmumini Jibrin Kofa who Saturday announced his exit from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, may settle for a reconciliation offer following the House of Representative’s contest crises in Kiru/Bebeji Constituency.

Kofa was said to have dumped the APC over disagreement on the House of Reps contest. 

But following Governor Ganduje’s intervention,  a reconciliatory meeting has been scheduled to hold today in Kano. 

Governor Ganduje had directed the state secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to immediately take measures to amicably resolve the internal crisis. 

The party’s secretariat has as a result summoned a stakeholders’ meeting to discuss the situation in the constituency.

A statement signed by the chairman of the state chapter of the party, Abdullahi Abbas said that an invitation has been sent to all those aspiring for the position.

It said Jibrin accepted the invitation and was ready to be part of the conciliatory meeting. 

The statement called on all parties involved in the matter to remain calm and cooperate with the party for an amicable resolution of the issue.
