APC Convention:  Ogah congratulates Adamu, Enukwu, other national executives of Abia origin

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress from Abia State and Hon Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Sampson Ogah, (OON), has congratulated ex-Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, on his emergence as National Chairman of the APC at the just concluded party’s national convention on Saturday.

The Abia party stalwart also described the newly elected national officers, as patriotic Nigerians and dedicated party leaders, who would work in consolidating on the tremendous strides achieved by the party on its electoral growth and development, as governing party in Nigeria.

AFRIPOST had reported that Adamu emerged through a consensus arrangement after other aspirants withdrew from the race.

Also elected through consensus is Emma Enukwu from Enugu State as the Deputy National Chairman, South.

The consensus candidates were confirmed through voice vote at the ongoing national convention of the party.

However, while reacting to the outcome of the just concluded exercise, the Doyen of Abia Rejoice, Dr Ogah, who doubled as Abia leader of the APC, in a congratulatory message forwarded to AFRIPOST, on Sunday, also congratulated all other winners which includes, Chief Emma Enukwu, as Deputy National Chairman South,  Senator Abubakar kyari, as Deputy National Chairman, Chairman, North, and Senator Iyiola Omisore as national Secretary; and  most importantly all Abia candidates that emerged respectively

On their meritorious emergence during the concluded convention of the APC.

He thanked all Abia APC leaders for coming out en’masse to support the  successful conduct of the national convention, and as well as, the party’s convention electoral committee, the leaders and delegates across Nigeria on the peaceful and rancour-free conduct of the execrise.

Ogah, who is also the Abia leader of the party, posited thatthe just concluded national convention reflected to the wish of majority of the party’s delegates, and best democratic practices, wherein party’s delegates unanimously and freely spoken in one voice.

Ogah also reiterated that the APC-led federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari has raised the bar in diversfication of the economy and developement of critical Infrastructures in Nigeria.

He confided that the successsful conduct and conclusion of the national convention would will spur the current administration led by the progressive party to do more in the dispensation of dividends of democracy to the Nigerian people especially in the execution of meaningful projects and initiations of social Investments Empowerment and developement programme, at enhancing more the welfare of the citizenry.

His words: “APC has come to stay in the country and will not deviate or relent on its democratic ideology and principles upon which the party was established. The APC in the last seven years, on the saddle of leadership, had given every critical and important facets of the Nigeria’s economy a facelifts, and has equally and impressively placed the most populous country in Africa continent, among comity of advancing countries with developed and stable economies.

“Again, the APC administration has unrelentingly fostered and contonuedly sustained existing political stability of Nigeria, because of her all-inclusive postures and genuine  proactiveness on policy making and implementations, as critical stakeholders in different sectors of nation’s economy are allowed to make positive inputs, irrespective of political leanings, tilted towards deepening democratic dividends in every part of the nation. And equally remember that all our policy formulation and implementations are shrouded on due process and accountability prudence, and openness”.

Ogah further expressed confidence in the new national leadership of the party to restore basic democratic ideologies, norms and values, towards its geninue desire to retain power through a transparent and democratic process in order to continue offering Nigerian populaces, effective and responsive governance.

The foremost industrialist, ebullient Minister of State for Mines and the Doyen of Abia Rejoice, also called on party leaders and teeming members and supporters, to work with the new national officers to enable them take the progressive party to more and greater heights for the continued good of the party and the citizens at large.

Ogah however, wished them a successful and fruitful tenure, praying the almighty God to grant them the strengths, direction, more wisdom, and good healths to be able to take  All Progressive Congress to higher pedestal in her socio-economic and Infrastructural  growth, and also political stability and development.
