A statement by Christain Ita, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity said the processes were filed by renowned constitutional lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Chief Mike Ozekhome.

The state has equally filed a motion for the stay of execution.

The government consequently urged the APC members in both the National Assembly and the Cross River State House of Assembly to go about their duties freely.
