2023: Northern youth group call for support for Igbo president

A youth group under the aegis of Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum, UNNYF, has solicited the support of Nigerians for the Central Bank Governor, CBN, Dr Godwin Emefiele to emerge as the next president in the 2023 general elections for unity, economic and political progress of the country.

Director General of the group, Dr Ibrahim Bature made the call during an interview shortly after the group road walk in Minna, Niger state said for fairness and equity, there is need for the emergence of the Igbo presidency come 2023.

Bature explained that  the CBN Governor has proved his worth considering his policies that have rejuvenated the nation economy, particularly in agricultural sector now contributing tremendously to the GDP.

“We are urging northerners and Nigerians to rally round him in view of  his policies that have rejuvenated the nation’s economy, particularly in agricultural sector now contributing tremendously to the GDP,” the DG stated.

He noted that if elected as a financial expert, economist, Dr. Emefiele will surely replicate those impacted policies in other sectors of the economy for the betterment of the country to enable Nigeria join the league of nations.

The Spokesperson of the group, Aliyu Mohammed Sani in his speech said, “the CBN Governor is a Southerner with a Northern heart, the champion of Northern Renaissance. That is why, we need to declare one hundred percent support for the green icon who is a liberator of the northern people.”

Also, the State Coordinator, Mohammed Alhaji Mohammed listed some of the achievements recorded by Emefiele’s led administration to include the intervention on federal and state government roads from the ministry of Works to be completed by CBN and the NNPC.
