NGO donates materials, cash to orphanages in Abakaliki

The visit which took place at the motherless babies home located at nsugbe street Abakaliki Ebonyi State had all members of the organisation in attendance.

Briefing journalists shortly after the visit, the president of the organisation Mr Chibueze Omogo said that it was a divine mandate given to him by God which he has been doing for the past three years now, which made him to bring in his organisation join him in this year’s outing.

Mr Omogo further noted that the visit has nothing to do with politics and advice the management of the home to believe in God and as well utilize the gift in which he has given them.

On his own, the provost of the organisation Engr Akpu Pascal said that the visit is a routine exercise to extend hands of fellowship, which the organisation had always set aside 15th February every year to embark on visit to motherless homes in celebration of valentine.

Another member who spoke with us, Prince Ekpe Amobi, Chief Executive Officer of Emobi phone described the president as a Godsent to mankind and advised other rich men to emulate Mr Omogo.

AFRIPOST further reports that the presence of the NGO at the orphanage home changed the mood of the orphans, as they were seen wearing smiling faces during the visit.

In an interview with AFRIPOST on the sidelines of the visit, one of the founders of the organisation, Comrade Aburu Chibueze said the visit was to give the orphans a sense of belonging.

“This is a routine exercise by the NGO, especially during valentine periods such as Esther, Christmas and New Year.

“The NGO’s representatives are here today to show the orphans a sense of belonging. The organisation wants them to have the feeling that they are not neglected,” Chibueze said, adding that the organisation has been in existence for the past ten years.

Another member and the general secretary of the organisation, Mr Odo John Eshie, said the organisation was dedicated to meeting the basic humanitarian needs of children, orphans and it’s members, irrespective of their ethnic and religion affiliations.

He said that the organisation was established over ten years ago to put smile on the faces of less privileged and to assist it’s members.
