Benue Heritage Festival holds in Abuja December 10/11

The maiden edition of the Benue Heritage Festival is currently holding in Abuja, the Federal Captial Territory of Nigeria.

Benue is one of the North-Central States in Nigeria that prides herself as Nigeria’s foremost cultural hubs and popularly known as the “Food Basket of the Nation”. It is inhabited and populated by several ethnic groups which include the Tiv, Idoma, Igede, Etulo, Abakpa, Jukun, Hausa, Igbo, Akweya and Nyifon.

The rich cultural heritage of the Benue people finds expression in their colorful clothes, exotic masquerades, sophisticated music and dances.

The festival is packaged to showcase the rich culture of the people of the State to the world and also to promote peace, love and unity among the people.

According to the convener, Linda Ene Dirisu, the festival shall, among other things, features cultural exhibition, fair and lecture to showcase the cultural heritage of the people to the world.

The two days cultural exhibition is holding on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th December, 2021 at the Exhibition Pavillon, beside International Conference Centre (ICC), opposite the Radio House, Central Business District, Abuja.
