Respond to bandits, not Buhari’s critics – Apostle Suleman tells presidency

Must read

The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry International, Apostle Johnson Suleman has urged the presidency and other Nigerians who attack critics of President Muhammadu Buhari to focus on fighting insurgents.

The apostle made this known on Monday via a tweet on his verified Twitter handle.

AFRIPOST reports that some clergymen including the the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Kukah have faulted president Buhari’s administration over the rising security crisis in the country.

Kukah in his Easter message on Sunday, described Nigeria as a killing field, stating that the activities of bandits, Boko Haram insurgents and other criminal elements, have plunged the entire nation into hardship.

Meanwhile, in reaction to the bishop’s comment, presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, while speaking during a programme on Channels TV on Sunday, said, “All citizens have their individual ideologies, even their own versions of truth.

“But if you profess to being a man of God, as Father Mathew Hassan Kukah does, ideology should not stand in the way of facts and fairness”.

Reacting, Apostle Suleiman said Nigerians are helpless in the face of insurgency, but those who speak ‘truth’ are been attacked.

“You are tempted to think we don’t have leadership in Nigeria when people are been killed.

“They appear so helpless in the face of insurgency.

“But as soon some1 speaks truth to power, their swift response and reactions amazes you.
PLEASE,RESPOND TO BANDITS,NOT CRITICS”, he tweeted.
