Taraba State Governor, Dickson Ishaku has felicitated with the former minister of finance, Dr Ngizi Okonjo-Iwela on her appointment as the new Managing Director of World Trade Organization.
AFRIPOST reports that the former minister became the first African to head the WTO upon her emergence on Wednesday.
The governor gave the congratulatory message on Wednesday via a statement in Jalingo.
According to the governor, the new WTO DG “have always stood out, brave, intelligent, diligent, hardworking and a woman with human heart. I sincerely believe that the right choice has been made. The World will soon see a positive change in trade.
“Our prayers are with you, as you go ahead to make us all proud. Congratulations once again”.
