The government of China has reported 18 new coronavirus cases for June 21.
The National Health Commission, while giving the update on Monday said nine of the tally were recorded in Beijing, the nation’s capital.
One day earlier, 26 cases were confirmed with 22 in Beijing.
There have been a series of local infections in June.
Authorities are restricting movement in Beijing and stepping up other measures to prevent the virus from spreading.
Coronavirus virus was first reported in Wuhan.
There have been 9 million cases and 470,000 deaths worldwide.
