The Oyo State COVID-19 Task Force says it recorded a total of 30 positive cases in the state between May 28 and May 30.
Also, the state task force disclosed that it has discharged 21 patients whose test results came back negative within the period.
This brings the total number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 96 while the total number of positive cases stands at 282.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who made the disclosure via his verified Twitter handle, on Saturday, said of the 30 positive cases, 22 are from iSON Xperiences in Ibadan South West Local Government Council Area of the state.
The governor, who is the chairman of the COVID-19 task force in the state, said, “Twenty-one confirmed COVID-19 patients have received their second negative test results and have been discharged in the past three days. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 96.
“Also, the COVID-19 confirmation tests for the following number of cases came back positive: May 28 – 10 cases, all from iSON Xperiences; May 29 – 15 cases, 10 from iSON Xperiences; and May 30 – 5 cases, two from iSON Xperiences.
“So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 282.
“Please, call the Emergency Operations Centre if you have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, and shortness of breath.”
