Barcelona has given one condition that would allow Chelsea to sign Coutinho.
According to the Spanish outlet, Sport, the La Liga champions will let Chelsea sign the Brazilian international if the Premier League giants are willing to cover Coutinho’s £11.5 million annual salary while taking the playmaker on loan for 12 months and to purchase him if a clause is inserted into the deal.
The report added that Barcelona would apparently reduce their price tag to £53 million if the Blues agree to buy Coutinho at the end of next season.
Recall that Chelsea is already discussing with Coutinho’s agent as they look to land the player at Stamford Bridge in a bid to bolster Frank Lampard’s squad after they failed to sign any player last January transfer window.
Coutinho is presently on loan at Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich from Barcelona.
The 27-year-old left Liverpool for Barcelona in 2018 during the January transfer window.
Coutinho is among the eight players Barca wants to leave Camp Nou this coming summer transfer window amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak across the world.
