The Ekiti state police command has on Thursday night arrested 10 Fulani herdsmen allegedly armed with guns in Emure-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
Some of the residents of Emure being vigilant, raised alarm on Thursday evening over strange identities in the area which stimulated the action of the police men.
The Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO] Ekiti state police command, Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident when contacted by our reporter.
“I cannot confirm if they are kidnappers; they appeared to be hunters from the Next; we saw them with dane guns. We cannot ascertain if they are kidnappers or not. After investigations, we will know what they are up to” he said.
The PPRO further called on all nigerians to remin vigilant in their respective places as security is everybody’s business.
He however, said the fate of the suspects are still unknown till investigation is concluded “the victims might end up being innocent, but, we can’t know until after proper investigations are carried out” he said.
