Joy Odama’s Murder: Senator Rose Oko Vows To Follow Up ‘Call For Justice’

Must read

A Federal Law Maker, Senator Rose Oko, representing Cross River North Senatorial District in the red Chamber (PDP), has vowed to follow up the ‘call for justice’ for the murder of one of her constituents, Miss Joy Odama.

The 200L student of Cross River State University, Joy Odama was allegedly murdered by one Alhaji Usman Adamu (now at large) on the 19 December, 2016 and dumped in a mortuary without prior knowledge of her parents.

Calling on the Inspector General of Police, the National Assembly and all relevant agencies of government to set up a high powered Body of investigation to unravel the mystery behind the murder of the innocent Nigerian, Senator Oko said she would use her good office to ensure speedy justice to the matter so that those who are bent in aiding or abetting crimes will know that their game is up, adding that she will not relent her effort until the culprit and his accomplices are brought to book.

She also called on all the stakeholders of CRS and particularly that of the Northern Senatorial District to come together irrespective of political and personal views to ensure that Justice is done in this case.

Dr Oko while disclosing to her constituents that the matter had been discussed in the Lower Chamber, said the matter was also already in the office of the Senate President and ready to raise a point of order and move a motion before the hallow chamber to this effect until Justice is done to our dear daughter, sister and constituents Joy Odama.

According to a statement signed from her Media Office, the Distinguished Senator is particularly happy with the way this advocacy for #Justice4JoyOdama is going simultaneously from the State House of Assembly to the Federal House of Representative and shall be very loud in the hallow chamber (Senate) coming week because an injustice to one is an injustice to all.

It could be recalled that the Nigerian Police Force had declared Alhaji Usman Adamu wanted and had also ordered for another autopsy to be carried out on the body of the deceased.
