Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda has expanded his cabinet and strategic advisory team, forwarding two new commissioner-nominees to the legislature while approving fresh appointments across key government offices in the state.
The governor has submitted the names of Alhaji Muhammad Sani-Ahmad and Alhaji Mannir Ayuba-Sullubawa to the Katsina State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as commissioners.
Their nominations signal a further consolidation of the administration’s policy direction.
Moreover, Radda has appointed Suleiman Namadi as Managing Director of the Katsina State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency, a government body charged with addressing erosion control and sustainable water resource management.
The agency plays a critical role in combating environmental degradation across vulnerable communities in the state.
In addition, the governor named Hajiya Jamila Salman, Alhaji Ibrahim Danjuma and Alhaji Muddasir Mati as Senior Special Assistants.
Alhaji Musa Dankawu and Alhaji Abdulfatah Kafur were also appointed as Special Assistants, broadening the administrative support structure around the executive.
A statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary confirmed the appointments and nominations, noting that the moves are part of ongoing efforts to reposition governance for efficiency and service delivery.
Speaking on the development, Radda said the appointments were based on competence and a shared commitment to public service.
“This administration demands energy, discipline and measurable outcomes,” he said.
“Every appointee must understand that the mandate is to serve the people diligently and transparently.”
Furthermore, he urged the nominees and aides to key into his administration’s development blueprint, known as the
“Building Your Future” agenda. According to him, alignment with this framework remains non-negotiable.
“You are stepping into offices that require urgency and accountability,” the governor said.
“The expectation is clear: deliver tangible impact and justify the confidence reposed in you.”
The appointments come at a time when the state government is intensifying efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and accelerate socio-economic development.
Observers say the legislature’s confirmation process will determine how soon the new commissioners assume office and begin implementing policy priorities.
