Must read

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has submitted a new batch of commissioner nominees to the state house for scrutiny and confirmation, signalling a potential reshuffle in the state’s executive council.

The Rivers State House of Assembly has been notified of the nominations, with officials asking the appointees to present their academic and professional credentials for verification.

“All nominees are expected to provide the necessary documentation to enable a smooth screening process,” said Emeka Amadi in an official statement on Tuesday.

The nominees listed include Datonye Alasia, Tonye Bellgam, Temple Nwofor, Peters Nwagor, Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Lekue Kenneth, Otonye Amachree, and Amairigha Edward Hart.

The state assembly is expected to commence the screening sessions soon, paving the way for possible confirmations.

Observers note that this move reflects Governor Fubara’s intent to strengthen his cabinet with experienced personnel ahead of the upcoming policy implementations.
