The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has felicitated with former Senate President, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, as he marks his 65th birthday.
In a goodwill message issued through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio commended Anyim’s dedication to public service, leadership, and his role in Nigeria’s growth and development.
He described Anyim’s tenure as President of the 4th Senate as a period that laid a strong foundation for legislative operations in the Fourth Republic, noting that his patriotism and commitment to excellence continue to inspire lawmakers.
Akpabio also highlighted Anyim’s service as Secretary to the Government of the Federation between 2011 and 2015, stating that his experience and leadership defined the achievements of the administration during that period.
“On behalf of my family, constituents, the 10th Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I heartily rejoice with a distinguished Nigerian, a leader of repute, former Senate President and former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON, as he marks 65 fruitful years on earth,” the message read.
He further wished Anyim continued health, happiness, and peace, while celebrating his contributions to the country’s democratic and governance institutions.
The Senate President expressed confidence that Anyim’s legacy would continue to inspire both current and future generations of Nigerian leaders.
