Another aide in the administration of Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has resigned from office, raising the number of recent departures within the governor’s team to three.
Yinka Richards, who served as Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, tendered his resignation in a letter dated February 16, 2026, indicating that it would take effect from February 18.
In the letter addressed to the governor, Richards appreciated the opportunity to serve, describing his appointment as a privilege that enabled him to contribute to governance and developmental programmes in the state.
He noted that the decision followed careful reflection, adding that he plans to concentrate on a national assignment and pursue the next phase of his political and professional career.
The development comes barely days after two senior media aides resigned their appointments within a 48-hour period.
Pastor Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila had earlier stepped down as Senior Special Assistant on Multimedia, while Olugbenga Abire also resigned as Special Assistant on Media.
As of the time of filing this report, the Ondo State Government had yet to issue an official statement explaining the recent wave of resignations within the administration.
