In a heartbreaking turn of events, a family argument in Niger State escalated into violence, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old resident.
The clash unfolded early on February 17 in the quiet community of Mohoro, near Dusai District, around 7 a.m.
Local reports indicate that tensions boiled over between siblings, leading to a devastating outcome.
Police authorities revealed that Sani Bauchi, the older brother, is accused of using a wooden stick to attack his younger sibling, Nathaniel, during the heated exchange. The blow proved lethal.
Although community members quickly transported Nathaniel to General Hospital in Bangi, medical staff pronounced him dead shortly after arrival.
His body now awaits a detailed examination at the facility’s morgue.
A police spokesperson stated, “We’ve taken the suspect into custody to uncover the full details of this unfortunate incident.” Investigations continue as the community grapples with the loss.
