Popular Nollywood actress, Aishat Raji has broken her silence to filmmaker Austine Emmanuel’s allegation that she conspired to sabotage his career, describing the claim as false and misleading.
AFRIPOST gathered that Austine had alleged in a previous interview that he introduced Aishat to Nollywood and that they were once romantically involved. He also claimed that after their relationship ended, she worked with a marketing company, Toymax Film Holdings, to have him blacklisted from directing and writing roles.
Speaking during a TikTok live session that later circulated online, Aishat denied ever being in a romantic or sexual relationship with Emmanuel. She also rejected the claim that he brought her into the film industry, stating that her first movie role was directed by actor Rasaq Olayiwola, popularly known as Ojopagogo.
Responding to the allegations, she said, “Austine tell the world the reason for your downfall. Bring out the evidence that we ever had sex. If you have family issues, don’t put your frustration on me.
“I warned you then not to destroy your marriage because of me when you were chasing me around. To those saying I wanted to be his second wife, how can I be a second wife to a poor man who could not even afford to rent a house, a man who never contributed a dime to his wedding, who does not know what his kids eat.
“You can not even afford a three square meal. You were sleeping with different married women and you expect to make it in life.” She said.
Aishat further rejected the accusation of blacklisting and accused Emmanuel of being responsible for his own professional challenges.
“You told producers not to use me in their movies again, it is karma for you,” she said.
As of the time of this report, Emmanuel has not publicly responded to Aishat’s latest remarks.
