The All Progressives Congress has reconstituted the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing a former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari, as chairman.
The party also reassigned Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was earlier named to lead the committee, to the position of treasurer in the new arrangement.
In addition to the leadership changes, the APC increased the membership of the committee from 73 to 90 to accommodate more party stakeholders ahead of the national convention.
Among those newly appointed into the committee is Senator Barry Mpigi, alongside other notable party chieftains drawn from different parts of the country.
The APC said the reshuffle and expansion of the committee were part of a revised structure for the 2026 national convention.
According to the party, the changes were informed by zoning considerations and other strategic necessities aimed at ensuring a smooth and inclusive convention process.
