Fidelity Bank Plc has reinforced its commitment to education and youth development with the renovation of an administrative building at Community Secondary School, Enugwuabo Ufuma, in Anambra State.

The one-storey administrative block, previously affected by severe infrastructural decay, was fully refurbished to improve learning and administrative efficiency within the school.

The upgraded facility was formally handed over to the school community during a ceremony attended by government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.

Speaking at the handover, the Regional Bank Head of Fidelity Bank in Awka, Dr. Nosa Orumwense, said the intervention reflects the bank’s long-term strategy of supporting education as a driver of sustainable development.

According to him, the project goes beyond infrastructure, as it is aimed at creating an enabling environment that supports quality teaching and learning.

Moreover, Orumwense noted that improving school facilities contributes to discipline, pride, and better academic outcomes for both students and teachers.

Also speaking, the Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, who represented Governor Chukwuma Soludo, described the project as a clear example of meaningful corporate social responsibility.

She recalled that the school had previously been placed on an emergency list due to the poor condition of its buildings, raising concerns about the safety of students and staff.

However, she said the renovation has significantly transformed the school, expressing the state government’s appreciation to Fidelity Bank for its timely intervention and tangible impact on the community.

Furthermore, the bank explained that the project aligns with its broader corporate social responsibility agenda, which focuses on strengthening educational institutions, empowering communities, and delivering long-term social value across Nigeria.
