Suspected bandits have killed a labour activist, Comrade Magaji Auwal Abdulhameed, during an attack along the Birnin Gwari axis in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident was disclosed on Tuesday by security commentator and journalist, Bakatsine in a post on X (formerly Twitter) sighted by AFRIPOST where he described the killing as another grim reminder of the insecurity plaguing the area.
“BREAKING: Comr. Magaji Auwal Abdulhameed was killed by suspected bandits while returning home along the Birnin Gwari axis in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State,” Bakatsine wrote on X.
He noted that the latest attack adds to the growing number of violent incidents targeting motorists and commuters on the route, despite repeated warnings and calls for improved security.

Efforts to get official confirmation from security authorities were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report.
