Star Nigerian Rapper and singer, Azeez Fashola, well known as Naira Marley, has voiced serious concern about the growing threat of cultism within the Nigerian music industry.
The “Tesumole” crooner while lamenting about the negative trend, claimed that only a few Nigerian artists, including himself, are yet to join a cult.
He mocked artists who joined cults for power and protection, pointing out that even those who influenced them to join still move around with police escorts for security.
On his X handle, the rapper wrote, “We no reach 5 weh never join cult for this [music] industry.
“Person weh put u for cult self dey carry police escort up and down.”
Meanwhile, Naira Marley has previously debunked rumours that he is a cultist, claiming that he was once threatened by cultists for refusing to join.
