Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has ordered an immediate manhunt for those behind the brutal killing of a woman and her six children in the Dorayi Chiranchi area of Kano metropolis.

Reacting to the incident, the governor described the attack as a shocking act of cruelty that has no place in society.

He stressed that such violence represents a direct assault on the collective conscience of the state.

Accordingly, Yusuf directed the Kano State Police Command and other security agencies to move swiftly, identify the attackers and ensure their arrest.

He warned that his administration would not tolerate impunity or delays in the pursuit of justice.

“This crime is heartbreaking and completely unacceptable,” the governor said. “Anyone involved must be found and made to face the full weight of the law.”

Meanwhile, Yusuf expressed deep sympathy with the affected family and the wider Dorayi Chiranchi community.

He noted that the loss of a mother and her young children has plunged many residents into grief and fear.

Furthermore, the governor extended condolences to the people of Kano State, urging them to remain united during what he described as a painful moment.

He also offered prayers for the victims, asking God to grant them eternal rest and comfort those left behind.

AFRIPOST had reported that the attack occurred on Saturday in Dorayi Chiranchi, located within Kumbotso Local Government Area.

Unknown assailants were said to have stormed the family’s residence, killing Fatima Abubakar and her six children during the assault.

Governor Yusuf reiterated that his government would pursue the case to its logical conclusion. According to him, justice for the victims is not optional but a moral obligation.

“We owe it to the victims and to every law-abiding citizen to ensure this case is not swept under the carpet,” he said.

“Security agencies have clear instructions to act decisively.”

In addition, residents were urged to cooperate with law enforcement authorities by reporting suspicious movements or activities.

Yusuf assured the public that his administration remains fully committed to protecting lives and property across Kano State.
