Popular Nigeria Afrobeats singer Afeez Adeshina, well known as Destiny Boy, has reportedly passed away.
The news of his alleged death surfaced on Sunday, January 18, 2025, after popular Instagram investigative journalist Temilola Sobola shared a post announcing the singer’s demise.
“Singer Destiny Boy has passed away. May his soul rest in peace 🕊️,” Sobola wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, there is no official confirmation from family members or management, and the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Destiny Boy rose to prominence at a young age for his unique sound and street-inspired melodies, earning a strong fanbase within Nigeria’s Afrobeats scene.
