President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated the Super Eagles following their third-place finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The message was conveyed in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, in which the Senate President praised the team’s performance at the continental tournament.
Akpabio said the bronze medal victory, secured after a keenly contested match against Egypt, reflected the players’ discipline, talent and determination on the international stage.
He noted that the team’s display reinforced Nigeria’s reputation as a resilient football nation capable of competing with the best in Africa.
The Senate President urged the players to take pride in the achievement and use it as a springboard for greater success in future competitions.
