Popular Nigerian Singer, Peter Okoye, of the defunct music duo P‑Square, has publicly reconciled with fellow musician Seun Kuti, ending a disagreement that started during the 2023 general elections.
The feud started when Seun Kuti criticised Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi, calling him an “opportunist.”
Peter, a supporter of Obi, responded on social media, questioning Seun’s relevance and achievements. The exchange quickly escalated into a heated online dispute.
The disagreement drew reactions from fans and other entertainers, with many condemning the personal nature of the attacks.
In a viral video on Saturday, the two were seen together at a nightclub in Lagos, where they embraced and shook hands. In a video from the meeting, Kuti said, “We are artistes, we can’t be fighting over politicians,” a statement Okoye agreed with.
The reconciliation has been widely shared online, with fans expressing relief at the end of the dispute.
