Former Nigerian beauty queen and aviation pilot, Powede Awujo and her husband, Ikenna Awujo, have welcomed their third child, the couple announced on social media.
The news of the new baby was shared by Powede on her Instagram page on Monday, where she posted photos from a maternity shoot and wrote, “Nothing missing, nothing broken. Happy New Year, Instafam. Our God is more than good.”News subscription service
AFRIPOST gathered that Powede and Ikenna were married on September 9, 2017 after a traditional and white wedding celebration that blended their different cultural backgrounds.
Powede Awujo first came into the public eye as a beauty pageant contestant. She was runner‑up in the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant and went on to represent the country in the Miss Tourism competition in 2013.
Before becoming a pilot, she trained as a nurse and midwife after earning her degree from Niger Delta State University, Bayelsa. She later gained certification from the South African Civil Aviation Authority.
The couple welcomed their first son in January 2018, a few months after their wedding, and their second son in August 2019.
