‘Working cabal’ driving governance in Kogi – Ododo admits publicly (Video)

Must read

Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has said his administration is run by what he described as a “working cabal,” which he credited for the achievements recorded by his government so far.

The governor in a video obtained by AFRIPOST made the remark while speaking at a project inauguration in the state, where he openly acknowledged the existence of a close-knit group of officials coordinating key decisions in his administration.

Ododo recalled that he was part of a similar inner circle during the administration of his predecessor, Yahaya Bello, but said the group at the time failed to deliver meaningful results.

According to him, effective governance depends on the efficiency of such groups, adding that the current team within his government has proven its capacity to deliver.

The governor said he was proud of the cabal in his administration, stressing that one of its successes was evident in the project being inaugurated at the event.

He identified the Accountant-General of the state, Habibat Tijani Aliyu, as the leader of the group, noting that her appointment had earlier been approved by former governor Bello.

Ododo added that other members of the cabal include the Auditor-General, the state party chairman, the Senior Special Assistant on Protocol, and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, insisting that the group remains focused on delivering results for the state.
