Tinubu’ll get one million Plateau votes in 2027 – APC chair boasts

Must read

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that Plateau State will deliver one million votes to President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda attributed the projected landslide to the party’s expanding influence and what he described as the crumbling of opposition structures across the state.

The APC helmsman spoke on Tuesday at a stakeholders’ meeting for the Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam Federal Constituency held in Pankshin, Plateau State.

He maintained that the APC had significantly strengthened its grip on Plateau since the 2023 elections, noting that former political adversaries had now pitched their tents with the ruling party.

“All the stumbling blocks we had in 2023 are no longer there. Those who opposed us then have joined us now, including the Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, commissioners, local government chairmen and other political appointees. With this, Plateau will deliver one million votes for Mr President,” Yilwatda stated.

He described the PKK axis as the traditional stronghold of the APC, recalling that Tinubu recorded some of his highest votes in the area during the 2023 presidential poll.
