Political chieftains in Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State have appealed to a former governor of the state, Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, and the incumbent, Abba Yusuf, to lead them into the All Progressives Congress.
The stakeholders, who reaffirmed their unwavering loyalty to the two political heavyweights, made the appeal during a crucial meeting that assembled councillors, ward chairmen, elders, and members of the Kwankwasiyya movement in the council area.
Speaking with journalists after the meeting, a governor’s aide, Abdullahi Rogo, disclosed that the stakeholders engaged in extensive deliberations on recent political developments and their implications for the state.
“We have resolved to remain loyal to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and appeal to him to lead us into the APC whenever he decides to make that move,” Rogo stated.
He added that supporters of the Kwankwasiyya movement in Rogo were urged to remain law-abiding and maintain peace amid the ongoing political realignments in the state.
Rogo further disclosed that the stakeholders pledged continued commitment to the ideals and principles of the Kwankwasiyya movement, stressing that discipline, unity, and respect for leadership would guide their actions going forward.
