Popular Nigerian singer, Inetimi Odon, well known as Timaya fell on stage while performing at the Gbaramatu Christmas Carnival in Delta State.
The incident happened as Timaya was performing his 2013 hit song ‘Ukwu.’ A female fan joined him on stage during the show. Video clips circulating on social media show the singer attempting to lift the woman as the song played. He lost his balance and both he and the fan fell to the stage floor.
Audience initially gasped, but the atmosphere quickly returned to festivities as Timaya stood up and continued his performance. Neither the singer nor the fan were reported to have been injured.
The moment was widely shared on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and drew attention from fans online.
Timaya is a veteran artist in the Nigerian music scene, with a career spanning more than two decades. He is known for songs across dancehall and afro pop and performed at the carnival as part of the Christmas Day entertainment lineup in Delta State.
