Controversial Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington, has stirred fresh controversy after urging men not to let their spouses earn more than them during a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast.
According to him, it is impossible for women to be submissive when they are richer than their partner.
Despite never being married, Speed Darlington argued that rich women dislike submission but can feign it to get married.
“You cannot tell me that a woman that is worth multi millions will be submissive to her husband.
“I don’t believe that. Power does not like to submit. I am not very rich but I am still proud of the little I have.
“Now, imagine a wealthy woman who has house in Lagos and in the village, she definitely can’t be submissive. she can say that to just get married but deep down, she will never be submissive,” he claimed.
He further enjoined men to ensure that they are richer than their partners to save their relationships and marriages from future conflicts.
“There will be issues if your woman makes more money than you as a man. It is going to be a problem. Try your best as a man to not allow your woman to be richer than you. If she does, she will be aggressive and never be submissive,” the rapper claimed.
Darlington added that he fancies submissive and supportive women, not rich and independent ones.
He claimed that a submissive woman would support a man but a rich and independent woman would compete with him.
