Africa Law Practice International Group (ALPi Group), a leading Pan-African corporate and commercial law firm, has officially opened its first office in Angola, marking the firm’s entry into Lusophone Africa.
The new office, located in Maculusso, Luanda at Travessa Rodrigo de Miranda nº 33, was established in partnership with prominent local lawyers.
ALPi Angola is set to provide full-service corporate and commercial legal services, including cross-border trade, market entry advisory, banking and finance, oil and gas, mining, telecommunications, fintech, real estate, trust law, and advisory support for embassies and foreign investors.
ALPi Angola will operate under full compliance with local regulations, with lawyers registered with the Ordem dos Advogados de Angola and supported by experts from across the ALPi Group.
Speaking on the launch, ALPi Group Chairman, Olasupo Shasore SAN, said the expansion reflects the firm’s strategy to build a Pan-African legal platform that addresses the continent’s linguistic, legal, and commercial diversity.
“Angola is central to Africa’s energy, infrastructure and trade future, and establishing a strong, locally grounded practice here enables us to better support cross-border investment, regional integration and Africa’s evolving role in the global economy,” he said.
Ms. Nana Adjoa Hackman, Managing Partner of ALPi Ghana, noted that the Angola office strengthens the firm’s ability to advise investors, governments and institutions operating across Africa under the AfCFTA and within the wider Commonwealth and Global South.
Welcoming the firm, Mr. Mário Gomes of Grupo Simples, a leading Angolan oil and gas company, praised ALPi Angola’s expertise and said the firm would help Angolan companies expand intra-African trade while assisting foreign investors navigating the local and regional markets.
With the Angola launch, ALPi Group now has offices in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Namibia, Mauritius, and a representative office in Guyana, solidifying its position as a leading Pan-African legal services network.we
